There’s a lot of things that is beyond my control. And I shouldn’t really worry about them. It only makes me more down. So..don’t worry, and be happy.

French Victories??

This morning I started thinking about World War II, and somehow it got me to think about today’s armies. I mean, everytime I look at a picture of an American soldier in Afganistan/Iraq/whatever, I always get excited because the gadgets and equipment the soldier has on is looks really COOL. There’s the extra magazine cartridges strapped to the chest, the radio communicator on the neck, the M4A1 strapped oh so beautifully on the shoulder, the awesome looking pixel camoflauge, night vision goggles, and a lot of cool, high tech stuff. One soldier probably costs more than one Indonesian platoon!! Kidding!!!

Anyway, after I got on Google and started screwing around, I found this site, which is about French victories, hahaha!!! I just started looking around for Band of Brothers facts, like I usually do, when I remembered a joke I heard in a movie (forgot which one), about how the French army really sucks. So that’s how I got this site. Don’t understand why I’m laughing?? Click on the site and you’ll know. Good laugh, hahaha.

AdSense in WordPress?

I just found out that Google adSense won’t work with the free WordPress.

Meaning, that if your site is http://<yoursite>.wordpress.com, you can’t use adSense. The thing is, WordPress won’t allow the users to insert javascript into their blog, meanwhile, adSense uses javascript to track down how many clicks an advertisement gets.

So, if you want adSense, you have to get your own hosting service and use wordpress as the theme. Sucks, but what can you do eh?

NASA Wallpapers

I was bored with my standard Windows Vista wallpaper, so I turned to my handy and reliable search engine, everybody’s favorite Google.

I found this site which is a joint USGS-NASA collection of satellite imagery, Earth as Art. The images were taken by the Landsat 7 satellite from more than 400 miles above Earth and became a part of the collection because of their aesthetic beauty, however, there is some good science associated with each of the locations too.

Now I have artistic and cool looking wallpapers on my desktop to look at everyday. Sometimes I just turn on my computer and just sit there watching at these photographs because they are so beautiful. Really makes you grateful for all the blessings God has given us.

About me? I’m a 19 year old college student at Electrical Engineering Universitas Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta. I like computers, which is why I chose to go here. I also get excited when I get around food. Delicious food at that. I’m a food enthusiast. So expect to see posts about the hot trends of food .

Anyways, this is basically a place where I can put stuff I have on my mind. To get a better heading on things. Especially on my ‘journey’ towards xyz (which I can’t disclose right now; very hush hush aka top secret). So walk beside me and let’s see where this takes us.
